I just tried to put the '58 Buick Century up for sale on here but I still get a message that says I don't have authority to post in the for sale section. Can anyone help me out ... What do I need to do to post a for sale add? Also until I figure that out PM me if interested.

I would sure like a 58 Buick grille, if you find one somewhere in that stash of cars. PM me if you do find one that you would sell.

Sending this beautiful '53 Buick Special down the road to its new owner today. Straight 8, 3 on the tree, all original. Runs like a top. The new owner got a screaming deal. You need to post via a computer on the web (not through the app), it won't work if you do it on a smart phone. To get to your pm's you need to back out of the phone app to the beginning. There you will find messages, thread you posted on, threads you subscribe to etc. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1442937278.734132.jpg

Thanks for the help guys. I was trying to use the app and it looks like that is what was wrong. I appreciate the assistance notes that came both here and by PM.

Here is a question I could use help with. One of the cars I pulled from the building was running and driving fine. Then all of a sudden it started missing real bad on just one bank of the engine. All 4 cylinders on that side were suddenly cold. I pulled the valve cover and all 4 of the intake push rods on that side are bent. The other bank is fine. It never popped or backfired on anything that I noticed. I had it idling out in front of my shop for about 1/2 hour just running some clean fuel through the fuel system and suddenly it started missing. So why or how would all 4 intakes on just one side bend all at once? It is a 1970 Lincoln Mark III with the 460.

  11. Intake valves stuck or a problem with the rockers on that side. Why all of them on one side at the same time... don't know.

I couldn't find anything wrong. My local Ford place only had 2 new pushrods. So I put those in and then pulled the plugs and rotated the engine by hand. No issues or binding. So I put the plugs back in and started it. Those 2 cylinders now fire just fine. I guess I just have to wait for the other 2 pushrods to come in so I can toss them in and button it up. But I will always wonder how and why it bent a whole bank of intake pushrods all at once. Never seen that before. I hate not being able to find a cause. 1957 Merc I pulled out. Beautiful unmolested survivor. Last licensed and driven in 1968. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1449242386.704032.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1449242414.874081.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1449242456.858399.jpg

I stuck it on eBay. We shall see what happens. The '68 Caddy sold yesterday too. That was a great car.

Still all dusty from sitting for a few decades but except for a couple of knobs it is all there.

51 of the old cars down, 42 left to go. The next car I dug out of the building is this 1969 suicide door t-bird. It has these faux wire wheel covers on it that need a special tool to remove them. Does anyone recognize this tool or know where I can get one? I can't find one in the car anywhere. I need to get one wheel off to fix a flat before I move the car any further.

  21. Just a guess, but looks to me a chunk of square stock with a clearance hole drilled in the end would work...at least worth a try for what little work it would be....or some square steel tubing if you can find some the right size.

Looks like one of those McGard lock types. Look for something that looks like a lug nut.

I need the chrome for the passenger side rear quarter window for a 1940 Chevy coupe or 4 door sedan. And I need the short piece of chrome right past the hood on the drivers side. If you see a scrap car like this. A Buick or Olds would work. Thanks

One of the old finds is a Ford F1 truck that it looks like someone transplanted a Merc flathead into. It starts and runs fine but stumbles is I get on the gas. So I want to order a rebuild kit for the carb. This is a Ford 94 isn't it?

Yeah I am just getting it ready to sell. It is a 1950. There are little over 20 cars left to go in the estate. I advertised this one locally for a couple of days but potential buyers who came by seemed intimidated by the old wiring and by the little stumble it has on sudden acceleration. So I decided to kill the ad while I rewire it and rebuild the carb in order to eliminate those doubts. I am sure after sitting the carb is gunked up although it runs fine except if you punch the gas. Anyway yes it has the Merc flathead. Yes it has an intact bed. No tailgate ... at least I haven't found it yet in all the junk but we are still digging. Anyway here are a few pics of old red.
