Here's an odd wrench in the tool box. I have a pair of STAGGERED bolt pattern MICKEY THOMPSON valve covers; on the INSIDE of them is casted, "CHEV-327". ?????. Just an odd "identifier". We all know the straight across pattern came out in mid-59, and the 327 came out in 62, so there's no way a "327" would have been available with staggered patterned valve covers by Chevrolet. Must have been an "import/language" issue. For the OP, just go with later, but still "vintage" valve covers; 99.99% of the guys out there won't know what's what anyway. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

  5. Staggered bolt pattern covers were through mid-year '59. I have a set off of a 4V 283 out of a '59 wagon.
