Anyone want to start a club for 60s traditional (Bellflower) lows?

Say domestic cars from 50-65 done in traditional lowrider/ Bellflower style? Cragars/astros with pinner whites, metalflake, angel hair, dumps, bellflowers etc....

I know there is alot of us on this board, and a nation wide club strictly for cars with a pre 70 flavour would be pretty bad ass. I'm willing to organize it, help put up a website, make t shirts/ decals, plaques, jackets whatever. Anyone interested? I thought of a name the other night, 'Outsiders' if it's not taken already... since cars with this style are few and far between.

    Yay or nay?

  3. I'm not a big joiner, probably more of an outsider:D But it looks like a cool idea.

"The Outsiders" was a book about a late '50s early '60s greaser gang by the way.

  7. So, I was going to refer you guys to the Sultans Car Club in Long Beach. They have a lot of members and they are mostly the type of rides you are refering to. I googled it and came up with Sultan Scar Club for folks with acne. Sheeesh. But socalcarculture here on the HAMB has a lot of pix of Sultan cars. Lots of good ideas there. good luck on your club.

I figure the outsiders is probaly being used by alot, just becuase of the movie if nothing else. If there were more people around here into it, I wouldn't mind starting up something just for flaked cars, "The Flakes" would seem appropriate.:p

That's ice pearl, not flake. but everyone keeps calling it flake.....

    Friggin right-

Since 'Outsiders' is taken (unless it's just a patch on a jacket?) I've been trying to think of different names.... 'the Supremes' is too obvious I think, and kindof girly. 'Hoodlums' is taken (I think) Roughians (Ruffians is the right spelling) is sorta cool, and Delinquents, which is probally taken.

Is there a master list somewhere besides O'Brien Truckers?

The word pinner also means something else.

The Roughians sounds like people needing alot of fiber in their diet's...

    What about The Boyd Brigade?

lol....... Seriously though, I do think I remeber seeing a master list on here once.

    Hi
How do you fancy some new members on the otherside of the pond? Here are some photos of our old wagon, which has been done 4 years this year, full flake roof and fins! Have new project on the go at the minute a 62 Chevy Suburban, will post some photos of that when finished, should be kool though!

Damn that wagon is sweet. Subtle fade or is it the way the light plays off the body lines?

Either way it's very damned cool.

Count me in if long term projects are ok. I was going to go that style with the '63 Skylark.
