its a shame all the pics are gone.. I need inspired to get back into my 39 coupe build.. I decided against beter judgement to change the rear roof shape as I thik from a front 3/4 view toward the rear the chop can appear to have a hard line, it more of an optical illusion but Ive tried to eliminate that line.. BIG mistake, ive found its probably best not to try to reinvent the wheel :(

As a result im still working on working out the rear roof profile.. not paying to much attention to the quarter window opening so far, but ive build a steel frames base with fibreglass and filler to build up a corner buck from which I hope to lift patterns to form both sides in steel.. We are on the same hemisphere, Im in Scotland, so not to many ( none) other 39 mercurys to get a reference from.. Mine was a basket case, no floor broken in half and collapsed over the chassis .. worth saving them LOL..

Yeah.. It's quite hard to create a nice roofline which is correct looking from every angle..
Are you the only one in Scotland with a '39/'40?
There was one for sale in the UK a few years ago, that was allready chopped.
I think most of these models are cruisin around in Sweden.
    Keep up the good work!!!
I hope to post new pics this winter.. Cheers :)
