Saw this little convertible today. what is it?

 

Daimler SP-250 'Dart'. British car with small hemi V8

Interesting. That Daimler body style looks like a cross between a Sunbeam and an MG.

Interesting bodywork, looks like a round back model had fins and decklid tacked on at the last minute.

After watching the video, I'll just say pretty cool car...

 

Oddly enough, I used to see one of those near my house in Raleigh, N.C., back around '72 or so. A guy a couple of blocks over from me would drive it around some on the weekends. Can't mistake that front end for anything else. K6

Watched the video. It sounded like that. If Leno spent 4 years and $$ restoring his, are these cars with a lot?

 

I build headers for the Daimler SP 250s, I've built 30-40 sets over the years! I also have a Triumph Spitfire rack conversion kit, and a panhard bar kit for them. I built these just last week.

 

I built the entire chassis and suspension on this one earlier this year.

 

Nice work badshifter. These cars are kinda interesting.
