Projects what year is this Chrysler body

i have been trying to get with this older gent who has been very sick and he is selling all of his cars. I'm headed there today to look at some of them. I ask him if he had any model a coupes he said no but i have a much more rare Chrysler 3 window coupe. it has the doors and he said very little rust but no deck lid. I been wanting a coupe for awhile but
i have never looked at a mopar body and know nothing of them. looking at others i thought 27 but i knew someone here will know for sure. give me the pros and cons of the mopar. looking to build fender less ,48 ford front, boxed a frame,302 chevy , munsie 4 speed,f 100 rear ,lake pipes, that just what i have laying around going to be budget build

 

1927 Model H60 2-passenger coupe, a one-year only style. Mid-year they went to a 5-window rumble seat design.

 

Cool that's what i was wanting to know the man didn't know the model or year

I think you could make a great rod out of that. It has some kind of odd proportions, with a lot of glass area compared to the body height, but that's what makes it unique. Might look really cool unchopped but channeled east coast style, to really accentuate those proportions.

 

Yes it has a lot of glass I was thinking channeled instead of chopped to . But kinda why I bought it I'm 6,2 240 model a's are a little cramped with me

 

. Thought I would post what I was doing with the 27 Chrysler body I couldn't swing a hemi so I went with what I had in spare parts. I call it the big three. Chrysler body,283 Chevy and a Muncie 4 speed, with ford suspension 48 front and 51 f100 rear 36 rods I know mopar or no car but it's what I could swing so far less than 3500

According to my Chrysler book it could be a 26 Chrysler Series 58 2 passenger coupe or a 27 Series 50 or 60. All the same body, different engines, gauges, headlights, etc.
Great project, keep up the good work. But get rid of the Ford radiator shell.

I'm working on the grill thing says 60 on dash plate guy sold it as 27 to me

 

Hummer frame wizzer repo tank got on trade built a swap meet cruiser sad to say Honda motor but frame was 48 motor 88 better than a mini bike fits in my 51 Chevy panel and was a nx 125 so has electric start and a Harley super trap

 

OP you shouldn't have any trouble getting in and out of that coupe, the sides are all door!!

 

The first hot rod I built was exactly the same body, I had it 3/4 built before I figured out what it even was. The internet wasn't as powerful then.

 

I am digging this rare body, it is looking sweet, please no 32 Ford grill shell. You are going to have people guessing what they are seeing, work looks sweet, nice job bro.

Wow, you got right on it! Me after 7 months, I'd still be scratching my head staring at the pile of parts I'd bought. I like it--has its own look.

That Chrysler body is going to have a lot more foot room and leg room in it than Fords of that vintage. My great-grandfather Turner, (born 1859/died 1940) was 6' 8" and wore size 16 shoes. I've often wondered how he folded his long-legged carcass up into cars of the '20s.

 

thought I would put up a pic of my progress on the 27 running and lot driving I was tired of pushing it around the shop fresh 283 from a 58 vett rebuilt Muncie 4 speed from a 66 Chevelle 51 f1 rear end 40 juice brakes. Going to start on the wood for the top and body patch panels now that the body is square and doors open and shut

 

That's cool. Don' chop it.

 

Either chop it or figure on getting one big ass AC unit. You could hang a window unit out the rear window. Put solar panels on the roof.

Car is in nice proportions, and everything fits nicely. Wheelbase believable, nice curb height, no unnecessary channeling, and pleasing proportions.
I know this 'ain't yer first rodeo', but this unusual specimen will look professionally done when finished.

I just finished one, took three inches off the roof, the door windows are three feet wide, mine was sad when I got it, yours is nice. They're roomy inside, you'll enjoy it, the fire extinguisher is the catch bottle for the rad.
