Hot Rods Dodge 241 Hemi Distributor ID

  1. Hey all, inching closer to getting this car fired up for my friend, ran into a snag when selecting a coil for this setup. No clue who made it, no names, markings, nada! I'm thinking it might be a later Dodge LA series electronic. Two wire trigger (Hall effect) under the cap. The connector looks like a factory piece and is well insulated, not a cheap after market plastic connector. What are your guesses? Yes, I believe that is the Mopar Direct Connect unit. I have a couple of them. I think they were originally used on 340 cube LA engines.

  3. Awesome now I can just pull up a factory schematic and wire it correctly, thanks!

Yes. Look like stock Mopar used from 73 on all V8 and 6 engines.

Rob a junker for the wiring. You need the plug that goes into the amplifier. later ones only used 4 of the wires and a single element resistor. All the plugs will work.

  7. Killer! OE stuff will help out big time in making this a reliable little car, thanks for the diagram! It's been hard figuring out where all this stuff came from since his dad collected all of the parts to build this car before he passed away, so both of us are a little in the dark on some things.

You can get the wiring harness from your local dodge dealer, believe it or not. Easy hook up.
