Wondering if anyone has come up with any creative ways to delete a dash clock. Whether it be a personalized item or just filling/shaving the area,I'd like to see some pics. As always, suggestions and opinions are welcome; both serious and humorous. Thanks.
Thanks! The body is a '51 with '49 front sheet metal. I guess more of it is '49 than I realized. Seriously, thanks for pointing that out.
A truck horn button is what I have seen used before. Aside from the mini tach as has already been mentioned.
As scrap metal 48 says Ford had a clock delete panel for the 49 and 50 Deluxe models. I have one my Grandmother bought new in 1950.
The factory clock delete is common and cheap. And oh yeah, they fit. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1949-1950-FORD-CAR-CLOCK-DELETE-USED-RARE-/252148724654?vxp=mtr You can use 1951 ford wagons in your search as well as they used the 49-50 style dashes.
Thanks for the ideas. I like the tach idea, because there's really no other way to mount one on the dash that would look clean and sleek (when using the factory gauges).
