I can see a couple things I might, repeat might change on that car, the interior is not one. Great looking little hot rod, seems like I`ve seen the name Al Monk somewhere before but can`t remember for sure.
Looks like a drive to me. Form following function for sure...and of course that always seems to work.
Are those 55 Ford taillights? Or maybe 59 Buick? To my eye they look too big and too new for that car, but that's the only thing that's not perfect. How do so many of those old cars have Auburn dashboards? How many Auburns could there have been in the late fifties in Wyoming? Was JC Whitney selling reproduction auburn dashes?
Nice car, and this is purely my .02, but I just can't warm up to those bumpers. This guy was pretty detail oriented though, most of the time people would'nt bother putting the bolts back in after removing the running boards.
Holy hell that thing is perfect! Its that quirkiness that is missing in all the "modern" "traditional hot rods"! ...It doesn't get any better than that dash!
Only takes 1 wealthy family with spoiled offspring to buy the most expensive car and trash it, go get another. They could stack up auburns in the junkyard quickly. I'm sure you've seen the same behavior in NY / NJ. Cool car, appreciate you posting. Is that interior made from prestitched, bulk material, just layed out slanted.
I like it because it has some different stuff, bumpers, taillights etc. It's boring when they're all the same. Sayn.
