Hey Guys, I want to have the right outside door handle lock cylinder re-keyed, does anyone know how to remove the lock cylinder from the handle? Thanks!

Remove the handle and look for a small pin into the handle housing, about an inch or so back from the face of the lock. Carefully drive out the pin with a tiny driver and the lock assembly will come out.

In the 20's and 30's there were laws in several states that made it illegal to enter or exit a vehicle from the left side if it was parked on a street. The auto industry answer was to provide a key lock handle only on the right side.
I switched the right locking handle to the left side on my first 37 Chevy Coupe. Later on a couple of my 37 Sedans I would purchase 2 right side handles from I&I Reproductions with matching lock cylinders so that I could have locks on both sides.
