Pop up scrolling banners

What's this all about ?
Damn thing pops up when scrolling and then disappears. Comes back with a different banner.

I get it also on my iPhone while using safari.


So far it has not appeared on my iPad.

It's really really annoying.

 

I got it also on my android using the Chrome browser...clicked the 3 bars in the gray shaded area which brought up an option to close (an X in a square)...hit that and no more ads.

On the iPhone you can click the x/ three bars and the ad will go away

But as soon as you go to another thread or forum, or refresh the ad re loads

Then you have to x it out

Actually as I was typing this response the ad/bottom banner reloaded.


Not a big deal. Just an extra step on the phones

 

Is anyone else getting a pop up on the bottom of the window on android phones when viewing. Is this an intentional new annoying feature that I will need to learn to live with, or is it a problem with my phone.

Pop Ups to buy a new Honda don't appeal to me. They have missed their target market.

 

this is why I live in the 90's have a small dumb phone , no pop ups and do not have texting ( if you have time to text you have time to talk ) , so I cannot be accused of it while driving and no pop ups .

I'm not using the app, just my phone on normal Hamb, and im getting it too.

 

Log in and see if it goes away.

 

I'm logged in, it was still there, but seems to be gone now.

In the lower left of pop up is an X to close it. If something else pops up, pull it down with finger. Gone

I'm getting it too on my Galaxy S6 and yes, I'm logged in.
I'd like to know how to get rid of the damned thing completely.
Even if you use the X or drag it down to hide it, the annoying thing will return.
It's apparently called AdSense and from what I gather it may be something Ryan has enabled from his end.
I searched trying to find a way to get rid of it or to block it, all I was able to find was aimed at the owner or administrator of a website.
So I'm not sure at this point.
Sure would be nice not to see that garbage.

 

I noticed this today as well and spent a fair amount of time trying to get rid of it to no avail. They give you tons of options on how to tailor your ad crap but not one thing to stop it. It does not matter if you are logged in...Might have been a phone firmware update BS thing...Man pretty soon there will be ads popping out of the toilet paper your pulling off the roll.
Chris clicked on the X and it just asks what was wrong with the ad or was it repetitive irrelevant or inappropriate...just more string you along the long path to doing nothingness and oh yeah enjoy your ad.

 

Yes, adsense is annoying as hell, as is the chat box on the facebook app.

I figured out how to get rid of it. Turn off my phone, and leave it off, after all, its Sunday here, and I should be hanging out with the kid.

Yeah, it's so annoying Its taking the fun right out of the hamb.
There's plenty of fun on the hamb, it's just that thing is more annoying than the available fun
