It's the original 235 Chevy stovebolt engine that came with the truck. The last time it was rebuilt, it was bored 30 thou over. It's got about 3o thousand miles on that build. When I'm finished with the mock up, it will come out and be torn down. The blower is a kit from James Larrowe of JJ Inlines. The blower is a TBS 4-71 and it sits on a two piece cast manifold from James Larrowe. I'm just getting started and I only know enough about blower engines to get myself in trouble at this point. I will be getting some help from a local car buddy, Mike Cunningham, a fellow who has forgotten more about blower engines than I'll ever know. I will update my progress from time to time.

Here is the picture from my avatar. It is our original San Juan Mountain Rescue truck. It is a post war Dodge 4x4 power wagon. Currently undergoing some mechanical renovation, but no plans to touch the original exterior. Lordie, if this truck could talk !!

I was out for a test drive of my wife's Expedition the other day after some repairs when I noticed my buddy John had his shop door open.. Stopped in for a visit and he was about to set the cab on his Biederman truck. Some jobs are just too much for one person, so I gave him a hand in getting the cab set in place.

He's got the right tool for setting it in place, anyhow..

His front fenders have some rust issues, so I'll have some work to do after the chem strip....

These are the proverbial hens teeth, so we'll do some metal shaping to make some repair panels for the rusted parts. The fenders are 16 gauge, the inners are 14 gauge. This should prove to be challenging..

1930 Ford. It's an unfinished project, but I'm enjoying the hell out of it anyway, working on it a bit at a time, and driving the hell out of it in the meantime. 20150903_181707.jpg 20150903_181637.jpg 12063464_10207712376909588_6282350529175387379_n.jpg
