Hot Rods Sunday auction score

So my wife wants to go to an auction and look at a bed, I don't like other people driving my peekup so I went also. While looking at the three wheeled Lawn mowers, rusty log chains and rusty garden tools I pulled the lid off a newer looking garbage can. It was full of hubcaps. $8 and I was the high bidder.So far I've sorted and cleaned up 5 sets of caps. A real nice set of 57 chevy,a set of lancers,some 70 or so Satellite, some beauty rings, and some I still have not identified. I'll turn them into cash and buy something I need. The good part is I am using the trash can also.

 

Now that's a helluva good score!

 

Of course now your wife will expect you to go with her more often....

I love buying thins by the boxfull (sometimes it's a pick up box).

The way I look at it,
If I spent $200 and brought home 40 items than
I'm really in for $5 a piece.
And it's amazing what shows up for $5 or $10 sometimes..
Like a complete 8BA Flathead and 39 other items.
