Happy birthday Dennis, and many more

  2. Well guys just wanted to chime in to as what has been going on with the 3 window build. Not a lot to show as I have been doing all the plumbing of brake lines and gas line. Installed a elec. fuel pump, hooked up the hyd. clutch system and been working on getting a sending unit to work with an original tank & S&W gauge. Plus building a gas pick up tube for the tank.
As you may know the original 32 tank had the sending unit & pick up tube all in one. Can't get over NO ONE MAKES REPLACEMENTS for these.
Also still color sanding all those dam louvers in the hood tops and sides. Just have one hood side left to do......Next will be to start the exhaust system...and I am still up in the air as to what I want to do with it. Run it out the side with NO mufflers or out the back with mufflers.

Looks awesome! On the exhaust, I always like the sound of glass pack style mufflers. I also prefer out the back. But everyone has to do their thing!

And finally, a well deserved place to set down and rest. Seat looks killer, and I bet better in person. IMG_1381.jpg IMG_1383.jpg

Lookin awesome Dennis, I do not have any spare 81s in the pile here, sorry. I say run it to the back with mufflers and some cut outs for when you want to open it up!

Made a trip to see Dennis and his project yesterday. It looks fantastic. The seat looks really great in person and what Dennis has done with the paint you have to see to believe. It will be one of 2016's outstanding rods wherever he takes it.

Dennis, I just got myself up to date and the car is just fantastic! If your lovely wife is riding along you might want mufflers out the back......(cutouts to the side??). Kim rides in my hot rod pickup with straight pipes. With me being half deaf we don't talk much . Them peepers are the cats ass!!

Dennis do you mind showing some pics of your headlight mounts? I'm brainstorming over here, don't worry I won't copy directly.

  16. Lookin good, Dennis. Maybe see you at the Lincoln swap next year.

  17. +77 here today, sunshine with a light wind out of the south. So I took the day off from working on the 3 window and went for a roadster fix in my deuce roadster. Logged over 150 miles with a very big grin on my face all the way I am sure. Not very many days in November in Nebraska you get a chance to do this. So I went for it......Sure wish we had more days like this in this part of the mid-west, but fat chance of that. But it was a great day to be alive and spending it in a deuce.....
Back to work on the 3 window tomorrow...

I'll bet you found some nice straight flat roads out there, thanks for the image you created in my head. Reality found me and my son in law shingling my roof. Bob

I believe its from Brookville Roadster. Dennis may chime in if its different.

  23. hotrodderhaag,
It is from Brookville and is their 33 - 34 cross member and pedal set up. Works great in a deuce frame, plus it is very well priced I thought.

  27. loudbang, Thanks for shedding a little light on the photos as I was aware they were a little dark. As you can see I had all the lighting in the shop on and used a flash, but were still dark. Top looks better in person than photos. It is a metal insert covered with Harts (sp) material. Bolted down all the way around with a sealer so it won't leak (I hope)

Nice job on the top Dennis. You have built a really top level car that's going to drive and ride like a dream, along with looking great too!!
