I'm in the middle of a project and would love to see pictures of fenderless AV8 coupes on Model A rails. Interested in what others have done so that I might shamelessly rip off their ideas! In this build I wanted to retain as much original fabric as possible, and that required avoiding reproduction '32 rails (my budget required avoiding real ones). As great as the repros look and work, they are not 85 years old and, for some strange reason, that matters to me. Thanks everyone.
They aren't all coupes with flatheads but there's a few in this thread. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/fenderless-model-as-show-us-your-a-frames.953078/
Thanks Texasspeed and waxhead, I haven't bottomed out with it yet. I just checked it for rub marks and it looks ok. Lowest point on the front axle is 6.25" above ground but it's 4.75" at the wishbone. I guess a speed bump could hook it or if I straddle something lengthwise like a 6x6 I'll probably know it. But so far it hasn't happened in the last 5 years.
