Hot Rods 31 coupe hard top

    Requesting suggestions on how to install a hard top on 1931 Model A coupe.

    Sorry about not being clear on my request. I would like to replace the original roof insert on my 31 coupe with a hard top and I would like some advice before I start.
     
  9. You need to ask about 'filling the roof.'

    A hardtop is a car with no B pillars, hence the confusion (and wonderment.)

  10. You take some sheet metal with a slight compound curve rolled into it and weld it in. Done!

    I found 1960-1963 Falcon fits very well compound curves fit great. I was also told early Mustang also will work.

    There are multiple methods of atatchment, depends on skill level and desired results ...there are hundreds of educational threads on here by various true metal masters....surf, study, learn and enjoy!....there is no better hobby and no better place to enjoy it than the hamb!
