Projects Unfinished finishes anyone?

It's been in etch primer now for 5yrs

 

My 55 sports a traditional 2 tone satin and white paint job. Not the best but it keeps the rust down and I for one love it. It has the straightest body panels that you could ask for and is begging for a shiny black paint job. Started out gypsy red with india ivory just on the top like the car in the second photo. I won't do any major changes to it for a while, paint wise anyway. I can't see the red {color blind}, But I think it would be too much.

 

Great thread, I'd love to run original worn paint, every car I find has huge holes in it, CLR and a buff out is'nt gonna get it, half the car would be blended in paint.

well i have 20/20 full color vision, dont change a thing its perfect just as it is

 

Took a couple pics today as I was out enjoying the nice weather...right up until it started to snow and I drove several miles in it.
Took that as a sign that it's time to put it away for the winter.

 

My daily driver/parts chaser. Might have to warm it up one of these days.

 

I've tried to wax my truck but not sure if it helped

 

So many awesome rides.

Here is mine. I actually recieved a trophy at this show. Could be for courage... I've driven this more than 1000 miles over the past two summers... Being in Seattle area and driving this, means my season is a little shorter than most... Thanks Rusty

No side windows, no weather stripping, no panel webbing, just like riding in a tin can, but FUN!
I'm running this way to see what falls off before paint.

old bill51, really like your current build. love the motor combo, exactly what i would like to do for my current build.

 

I've started polishing out the original paint. Going to try to get it matched so that I can spot spray a few places that I want to modify.

Then going to paint the roof to split up the Solar Gold a little and change the attitude of the car. Should look like this.
