so i am just getting to see my car for teh first time. i bougt it off a whim on craigslist. a sunburnt cadi out of texas. who knows what you are really getting. turns out the guy was really misinformed!!! factory airride and ac. here is where it begins!!!
so majority of the airride componets are there. even teh tank is still solid. what a shock. didnt feel like getty down ad dirty under the car so teh valve picks will have to wait for the next go round. but they are all there as well.
teh interior is mostly there. nothing is missing except teh rear seat bottom. where it has goen no one knows. it was so nasty and full of rat lifethat i couldnt even really get in it with out being grosssed out. solution? mexican blanket? noooooooo! walmart picnic cover!!!!
thanks man, it is a reallllly solid start. i am from va, and will leave all my new mex/tex cars in teh dessert. this humidity will eat them alive. and yeah man it is HUGE! i put it next to the 60 flatop (which is a huge car) and it just dwarfs it, something ab teh "bubbly" fins just makes it large!!!
keep us posted.. That's one of a kind now a days. Looks sweet, hopefully limited work is needed and there aren't any surprises!
thanks! havnt gotten the motor to turn over yet, so that is the biggest question mark rigth now. so after we settled that we can move onto cosmetics. will post up pics of my 60 in a few, i did a grt job on the motor but dont care if that is orginal. but this one has to stay vintage
The original 365 was frozen solid. i tore one apart last year and it was so awful i never wanted to do it again. Alternative, 390 !! got one that had great compression all around. tore it apart, detailed it and dropped it in! All the Air-Ride and AC connections were really tough to deal with without breaking, patience and WD40!
