    Me thinks this is a modern pic. Someone snuck a 700r-4 tranny in this car and cleverly kept its use by adding the extra markers on the shift indicator .The "O" (overdrive) before the "D" gives it away. Nice way to do it tho....

  5. The photo is from the 60's,Drakes Store was long before we had convenience stores here in the rural South.

    As a teenager I stopped here many times for gas,a Coke and a pack of nabs. HRP

    Hudsonnutt is correct...The car has a new model tranny and pic is not that old.

  26. To further flog the deceased equine - that trim looks ''billet'' and the chrome e brake handle is modern, too.
