Rebuilding some old Rochester 2 barrels from 1958. All going good except I am trying to pull the small T's out over the spring and the discharge ball. I put the needle nose on them and pulled like hell. It did not move. I don't want to screw them up as I don't have others. I have had the units in chemidip and sprayed them with penetrant. Still no action. They have even been boiled. Suggestions and tricks please.
grab it as hard as you can with the needle nose and wiggle, it is staked. It may break, but you get one in the kit.
10/4 just looked in the kit and there they are. Thanks I will twist it around PS anyone know where I can get a couple of those bowl vent stainless clips? for a 2G?
If your talking about the little horse shoe things that are crimped around the shafts, they should be part of your kit.
No these are external clips that hold a grommet to cover a hole above the bowl They are mechanically operated by the linkage to open and close
I know what you mean now, I don't think you can find those new on the after market. You might need to find used spares.
I found these two one looks like someone bent the tab in the wrong direction it may brake off if bent back I may have some more at my shop in town I can check when I go back Monday if you don't find some.
