    Great start guys!

It's a sad birthday, 60 years ago, James Dean died in a car accident.
    But if…

It's not a Volvo add at all, as some people have thought on the web. It's just for fun. In my opinion, a Volvo is the quintessential anti Rock'n Roll car and Jimmy was the archetype of the young rebel, so I've tried to do this unlikely mix, that's all. ;)

  5. Evening all, thought I better get in sooner rather than later...
Here's some pix from an SPCA Fundraiser, last Sunday. Renegades put this on each year.
A fab day with plenty of cool rides....

Nice work from everyone, so far. It seems like there's less and less contributors each week..... bunny.jpg

I'm not sure my two entries qualify, but here goes....

I made one of these a year ago from a 1931 Model A grill shell and gave it to my parents. I decided to make another one from a 1930 grill shell. I did not alter the shell in any way and with about 10 minutes of deconstruction it could be used on a hot rod once again. I used the shell as a shadow box and framed a photo of my Model A. We built my car at my buddy's shop. Today, I'm going to give him this as a gift.

The shell is not creased, just a reflection from the photo

Cool back story on this. This year at Back To The 50's a photographer snapped a photo of my car. He tracked me down through my entry form and mailed me this cool photo. I made the frame. Just took a sheet of steel and hit it with my pneumatic sander, mounted it to canvas with plexiglass.

Racing against time. Is quite a bit different than I am sued to seeing from
GaryC. Very nicely done, even the speed and motion lines.
Makes me wish I could do that.

'60 NY'er acrylic commission. Like the '33, from the ever-more-popular Victor Harbour R&R Festival a few weeks ago.

I think not getting it pinned hurts the participation.

  17. Bernie I agree not being pinned hurts the size of FAS.

Nothing new from me but I will post these to contribute.

  21. I agree wholeheartedly! I think it significantly lowers the viewership.

I'm no artist and it's the end of the day I always enjoy the FAS with my Saturday morning cup of coffee, after everybody has posted. That being said, I was playing with ideas for the door art on my Henry J.

    This was my first attempt:

This was a second rendition, lacking lettering, a little more detail on the fingertips, but still not happy with how the thumb came out:

Hopefully this will make it so somebody with actual skills can apply it to the doors!
