I was there handing out fliers for my two-day swap meet. It was wet and muddy, but hell, it's an outside event--you'll have weather issues. We paid $5 to park, and then walked through the one outside field of parts, and then to the infield. Nobody was there at any step of the way to sell spectator tickets, or stamp hands on the way out. Their site says $10 spectator entry each day. Anybody know why they weren't charging? -Brad
Crappy weather is what Mike told me,he has been going and selling for almost 20 years. Maybe they decided to let people in for free just to help drum up business for all the vendors. He said he sold very little. HRP
The main men's bathroom in the Orange field had no toilet paper in the stalls. I guess they were trying to save money. Thanks for restaurants in front let me have some napkins. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Didn't make the fall event. If I go it's usually in the spring. Planning to be at ATL Dragway a lot the next few weeks though.
I left at noon yesterday - too wet for me. The worst weather I have experienced since I purchased my spaces in '89! Usually get at least 1 good weather day.
Was there on Thurs only with a bud of mine. We made a few finds but vendors were not many. I would say the infield was sort of full of vendors but there were many empty spaces in-between. We still enjoyed the day though, got out of there by 3:30 and I heard it poured shortly there after ...
A few of the ASSORTED NUTS went. Some good deals despite the crappy weather . NOS 52 Chevy marker lights $5 for the pair, 3 deuce setup with manifold minus linkage.....$300. Small block headers for $20. Rain kept the volume down, but those selling were willing to wheel and deal. Worth the trip for us for sure. Rain or no rain . Some sights from the show
