The coupe is Outlaw circa 2000 w/steel hood, fenders, running boards, etc. Great car - now being enjoyed in MI. Roadster is all steel that was about 85% restored to original when I was lucky enough to find it. Love 'em both!! If I liked it, I'd get another 'glass car.

in Idaho have state inspect and show all paid invoices then they will issue a state vin number and title as a replica 1932 ford not a new car. on title it show only as a 1932.

When I decided to get back into rods, I called Wescott and was told their roadster was $9500. I ended up buying a Brookville for $10,100, a no-brainer. I did it mainly for resale purposes after I croak. My Wescott from '80 that I never built was really heavy duty. With the body sitting on an unlevel garage floor, the doors closed just as if there was a frame under it. It usually comes down to a question of economics, but I couldn't argue much over $600. In good conscience, I wouldn't, couldn't fork over 22 grand for a rusty, tweaked, bent-up original body. The guys who attempt to sell shitboxes like that can stick them "where da sun don't shine". I was born at night, but not lastnight.

My roadster was built in my neighborhood by a good friend. I could have built it, but I wanted to drive it while I was still "valid". He completed it in '10, and we have been cruising the Hell out of it since. If I had tried to build it by myself, it still wouldn't be finished, and there are only so many Summers left.

I love hairpins like the next dude, and I run them on my Deuce built in '10, but the 4-bar eliminates ALL the bind in the travel of an axle, and axles with a smile are the ONLY way to go. Good for you, Bud.

  25. Late to the party as usual here are two of mine. The 32 is an early Downs ser # 21 built by the old man himself. The wife & I have been across the country a couple of times & Victoria B C & as close to Mexico( Yuma) as I care to go. The 34 is a early Gibbons built by Dwight Bond also has a early ser #1508. I been working on it for a couple of years of & on. I'm 82 & not too sure if I will ever get it finished drive it as much as I can when I can. Still in gelcoat. Finally my favorite cartoon someone sent me.

I'm willing to come out and say I like glass. I've played around with it a lot, made a few molds, and produced some decent results. I can see a glass coupe in my future. Maybe something with a '60's show car vibe.
