  1. We put the mufflers where we want them and build the pipes to them.

Well it's been a little while since I've posted updates, so here is the latest. I got my "turkey shooter@ exhaust tips machined. Now to weld them on and dress the welds. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1441723516.566705.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1441723528.138372.jpg

Yes. I started with a 4-1/2" solid 304 stainless bar stock.

So close I can almost taste it. Exhaust is done. Just a few more things to fabricate on the chassis and it will be time to mount the body.

I met a young man and his dad from the Houston area a few years back at the Fort Worth Goodguys show that may have been Danny and Bruce. They had a street rod built in their shop painted similar to a military green with wheels like those shown in this build, and was channeled over the frame and welded to it. It was absolutely immaculate. This build is just way over the top. Gotta be the same guys.

What a super nice chassie, your craftsmanship really inspire me. What block hugger headers did you start with?
I'm running a BBC in my roadster, and i really need to re do my exhaust. Need some tight fit headers like yours.
    Best regards
    Joacim.

Sanderson headers. All I changed was the collector flange and the removal of the logo tag. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1442571042.669039.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1442571062.227501.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1442571088.607040.jpg

    Thank you Danny!
    Have a nice weekend.

  28. Beautiful work!
    A couple of questions:
How much vertical clearance between the rear axle and the frame?
Will you add/subtract spring leaves to retain that clearance after the body, gas tank, etc. are added?
I notice you added bump-stops to the '34 frame. Will you do that to this '32?

    Thanks,
    Gary

I designed it to have 2-1/2-3" of clearance going down the road. It is missing a couple of leaves right now.

I may add some bump stops if it needs it.
