History coachcraft custom aluminum top for Peter Stengels 41 Mercury

    image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg I picked this up the other day. This was made by coachcraft in the early 40s for Stengels Merc. Anyone know where that car resides now? Last Isaw it was at a show in 2007. Lots of info by googling His name and or coach craft.

    I believe Ted Atkins in the Seattle area made T tops for it. Could be wrong. I saw it at a show here several years ago. PM for his number.

    Probably referencing Jimmy Summers who had a shop and did custom work in L A in the thirties and forties. One of his best known works was a 40 Mercury convertible with Carson top.
