I go over tomorrow for a fit and adjustment of the backrest to suit me. I'll let you know how it feels after then.... As for comfort on long drives, I'm still a way off that, but then again, I wouldn't have built the car with Buggy Springs if my comfort was the prime objective.

In the meantime, here is a sneak peak of the door design.

Tremendous job so far. That headliner, and the detail work on the rest of the Interior is really impressive. Really nice, Jimmy....

    Kick Panels done.
They will look much better when matched with the door trims as the lines flow nicely.
The Fire Extinguisher bracket will now be powder-coated and I'll polish up the brass on the Extinguisher.

  7. very cool, seems to call out for gold pinstriping on the black... very classy.
    How was the seat?
    Cheers,

  8. Your trimmer is doing a fantastic job. The interior looks phenomenal. As for the fire extinguisher, it's an actual working fire extinguisher? Being an older one I didn't realize they could still be used. I love it, really fits the build.

Pinstriping may be an addition in its rebirth in a few years time. For now it will stay all Black, including the Grille.
The Seat was quite good. The webbing that was installed under the foam provided good suspension. Bear in mind I was sitting on an untrimmed seat, so once the vinyl goes on it will be tighter.
Very very happy with the work this trimmer is doing.

No, the brass extinguisher is purely for decorative purposes and doesn't work. I have a proper working extinguisher out of sight behind the seat. You can see it in the pics below.

Can I ask who the trimmer is?

And one last look at the seat again, as it looks better under natural light.
