On the first [the one with the odd front bumper ] - with . On the 2nd leaning toward without but a picture that way would help the decision .
You should have put a photo of a Merc with flush mounted skirts so that you have all options shown... yes to skirts........
Don't care about the skirts! But, imho, the front bumper is too low so, (to me), it puts the front end out of proportion vs the rear. Even if it is raised up on air bags driving if it has air bags? pdq67
I voted for skirts but that car is so nice it looks great either way. I do agree with others about the front bumper being too bulky but after this many years it belongs there. Still------ Shirts or skirtless...... What's the SHIRTS got to do with this? And it's been buggin me.......... How do you get in and out of that garage to drive the car?
i need to see it at ride height, what it will look like going down the road. if it's going to spend all it's life in a parking lot lowered to the ground, then yeah, skirts. but if i saw it going down the road raised up like in the post 39 photo, i would tend to say without.
I looked back . You're right ; that does look to be quite a maneuver out of there unless there's a pass through .
I vote for the skirts but its a beautiful car and looks great either way. I have never seen a garage door that opens that way. The rails just hang out into your courtyard all the time? Is this so that the door doesnt take up roof clearance in the garage for a hoist? Interesting.
NICE RIDE !!! Either way looks GREAT ! Have skirts for mine , so far I've left them off, will put them on when looking to change up the look.
Skirts make the car look longer, leaner and meaner. YES to skirts. If the car wasn't lowered "no skirts" would work.
Thanks for the write up on your garage. I'm shocked you can do anything in there belonging to a HOA. I've heard of so many restrictions. I'm glad we are in the boonies and are moving to the boonies again. About that rear door, appears to me like you have the track mounted outside raising the door out rather than in. The place we bought has a low roof and short door. May have to try that.
With skirts x100. Shirts are optional. Sorry, regardless of when it was installed that front bumper just looks like a 1974 Merc or any other American car after they mandated those 5mph impact bumpers. Can't you get Chip Foose to tuck it in a few inches for ya?
Skirts.... However, it would sure be a shame to spend all that money on wheels and tires just to hide them...
I prefer it this way (including up off of the ground): BUT, like Dennis Miller used to say when he signed off, "it's only my opinion; I could be wrong"
let's see a pic of the car with skirts all raised up. i'm thinking at ride height, no skirts would look better.
