Technical best roof insert sealer?

    What is the opinion for sealer under the trim of an original style soft roof? 32 Ford coupe.

    I would use 'dum-dum'. (3M strip caulk 08578).

    If you're replacing the top insert, go to the Fordbarn and in the Model A section there is a great write up on this by Marco. Very well detailed and authentic

    I put a plywood insert in my sedan and then used window eurathane to seal from the wood to metal. DSC02818.JPG
     
  6. I just bought a box of the 3m sealer and it's nasty. Sticky. Sticks to your hands and clothiers something awful. On my coupe several years back I used Dap 25 yr. chalk.

    I would use urethane instead of silicone

    huh? what did u put it in the oven or something? Mine is the exact consistency of play-dough.....
