http://lakeheaders.com/custom_lake_headers.html Got a few a few here on my site, I can't load pics right now. All the cars are HAMB guys using my headers. I've got more pics on my home computer I'll try to remember to post them Friday...
Some Chev drive shafts from the 70s start out small then swell out. They have been used for headers too.
Rusty some actually a lot of GM drive shafts are 3" I usually keep one around that is bent or whacked ( they are throwaways for most fellas) for when I don't have any 3" exhaust pipe. They make good collectors or collector extensions of you are running open headers. They are always free you can't beat free. OK off topic but the information is free.
Here is a set I did for Marx this summer. I like when guys drop their car off and just let me do whatever I want. There are my new 35/6 ford driveshaft. They are built very close to Henry Fords.
Here's some more. I built all these for various guys with 35/6 style driveshafts. Most these cars you fellas will probably recognize.
Bull those are the real lakes pipes. not that jazzy stuff that the custom guys just hang on their cars.
Bull's car has a rubber hanger towards the back for support, I doubt its needed.. Marx's 27 with the olds does not have anything supporting the back of the driveshaft.
Always a good idea to support your exhaust long or short. headers are not exhaust hangers, some headers won't even support themselves.
