  1. Looking great Dennis, hopefully Bonneville won't be be a wash out in 2016 and you get to drive your supper cool 32 there with the Rolling Bones crew.

  2. Andy & Cully, Thanks for checking in on my build and glad you both approve of what is done so far.

    Hey Mr. Mayor,

I have been following along and just not saying much. What's not to like about anything here? Looks awfully nice and i am sure you will be driving before me. Looks like good, consistent progress being made.

  6. BigDaddy,
Not sure about that my friend, but your build is kick ass cool. I just keep plugging away on my 3 window. Taking the weekend off and taking the roadster out to the George Town Hill Climb. Should be a blast.

  7. Well back from the Hill Climb in George Town and it was a total kick ass blast if I may say so. Building some stands to mount the doors on for painting. Looking like Sat. will shoot the last coat of build primer on it. (I hope it's the last one).

I believe he shot it with a flatting agent, so it will not have a high gloss plastic look. Now just leave it out in the elements for 20+ years.

If that is the case why was he saying he has to do a bunch more sanding after he painted it, if not to buff it?

  18. Larry,
It is only blue in the bright sun light. Most of the time it looks black. So you only need 1/2 a rope I guess. I sure you will like it when you see it in person.
Dick, I want to give it some age as far as paint and that is why I am going to sand through to show wear in all the right places. Not looking for a show car finish.

This just gets better, if the plan is to have a "Rolling Bones'" aged look there is more work that a normal cut & buff, look forward to more photos. Bob

  23. 2deuces64,
Gary if you do come this way you had better stop by the shop as it is always good to see you and talk hot rods.

Mock up of the body, and firewall. Simply amazing how far you have brought this car from the beginning of the build. IMG_1281.jpg IMG_1282.jpg IMG_1283.jpg IMG_1284.jpg
