Hot Rods Traditional style 32-34 ford fiberglass cars - Any pic's?

Anybody have any pics of 32-34 glass cars built in a traditional style? Thinking of ideas for my next project and just wondering what's out there.

Let's keep the comments to a minimum about the glass car debate. I don't care if you don't like them, I just want to see some pics.

In all seriousness, from pictures, I don't think you'll learn much. In many cases you wouldn't know unless you were told. It gets down to the old fact that some people are better at building cars than others.

Of course hoodless, firewalls are usually a very obvious giveaway. But hood closed? It also depends on who made the body. More$ = more realistic.

Traditional is purely a state mind, this is mine.

 

Got some seat time in this Wescott bodied car, drove like an old hot rod should.
A couple trouble free road trips from PDX to P-town.
Very solid well built car, felt safe knowing Marty built the roll bar.

As the man said, it is pretty hard to tell unless the hood, etc is open. The roadster is a little more obvious with the lack of door hinges and rounded door corners but for the money you can't beat it.

X38 is right. There is a local 3window 32 Ford built so detailed even with patina paint that you would not know its glass unless you were told or were rude enough to knock on it to listen to the sound.

They actually take a reopop steel firewall real well.

I have seen a few Model 40s and Deuces around here that the only way to tell was to ride it or ask.

I wish I had pics of @KCTA Chris old Model 40. Then only thing on the car that wasn't trad was the body shell it was a freakin masterpiece.

 

The key is finding an accurately built body to build the car with. Meaning that the lines have to be right and it doesn't have "modernization" in the design.
Traditional would be the other parts you used in the build including engine, engine equipment, interior and gauges and wheels and tires along with paint color and design to some degree. You pick your time frame of the build and build to be accurate for that time frame. And if some clown walks up and sticks a magnet to the side of your car he is getting too close and personal with it.


There are a lot of Wescott bodied cars in the PNW that have been around since the late 70's early 80's and still look good. A few of them on original 32 or 34 chassis that have been rodded.

 

Real Tupperware.......... Some say fiberglass sucks - but so does rust - pic your poison.

 

LOL where it rains, near the ocean or where they salt the roads glass is a good option, they don't rust.

I have seen some of the lighter bodies (the one I like ) that the paint cracks with use, sometimes the bodies crack with use.

Too bad the Op didn't want to see a traditionally styled T with a glass body I do have some pics of one of those.

My 3-window is a Flatlanders body. Push out windshield, roll down rear window, top insert, Brookville trunk lid, etc.

How hard is it to make a full hood work on a glass car?

After beating on this old rusty Fordor off and on for the past 4 years I'm done. I'll buy a nice glass body and save myself the work on the next build.
