Those paint jobs were everywhere back in the late 60's and early 70's and the more colors it had the better it looked.

He actually ran BOTH; April 1968 HRM cover has the stock grille, but then on page 42, of the 3 page article on the Delivery, at Pomona Winternationals, there's an aftermarket grille that covers the turn signals on the front end. That's the way most of the pics I've seen were. My current Delivery had a similar grille when I first got it, and it was the first thing to go. I know back in the day, they allowed some mild customizing, but I liked the cars to be stock appearing. I've had four Deliveries now, just for the "look"; they're really not too practical to drive everyday with limited visibility, especially with my spinal surgery history and not being able to turn/twist very much. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

man I can find at least 2 of the mags that Project 6 Pack was featured in, and can remember buying those magazines. And the 343 h.p. 383 like you're building is something I'd like to build for my 62 Fury. Not that theres any where to class race near me anyway. But I traded a 70 El Camino SS for the 62 after I saw the Calahan and Sulc 62 Plymouth in a magazine in 1972.
Do you still Hamb or Jalopy Journal, I imagine this post was old when I came across it today in 2015. Hope this finds you well and still involved.

  17. 875372.jpg 1590471.png I'm currently building a 1961 Ford Fairlane (cheap Galaxie) into a very period correct super stocker. Nothing on this car will be modern appearing (steel wheels, 7" cheater slicks, wide whites, etc.). I'm going to soon order my new springs, front & rear and want to nail the correct early 60's SS/S stance. This would be nose up, rear down as in the photos.
My question is how much drop is good for the rear and how much up for the front? Eaton spring offers up to 3" drop in the rear which I'm leaning towards and up to 3" raise in the front. I'm leaning toward only 1"rise for the front.
Do you guys think this will give me what I'm looking for? Thanks

This is Ted Harbit back in the day. He raced this car from 1961 to 2009 when it was wrecked and totaled.

He does race a red R2 Lark known as the Stude Tomato. I believe he is working on an Avanti that will be Stude powered on alcohol. I don't know all of the details, but it is supposed to be quite the machine.

I was the trifive national at Beach Bend over the weekend seen Marv Ripes run his old 57 corvette down the quarter mile.
I have a video not the greatest will try to post.
Owner Craig Wood made first run then Marv made second run both were right at 1330.
I don't think the announcer had a clue what was going on or I could of got some better shots. Ron
