    383,
you can buy a repop cigar lighter for the dash very reasonable.

  3. so-dak-kid, Thanks for the info on the cigar lighter.
I took my quick change down to Wichita to "Jelly" today and dropped it off to be set up. What a cool old guy and great shop full of very neat old hot rod parts. Jelly is 75 years old and still at it. He had so much in his shop it just has a path that you walked through to get around in it. He is still making dropped axels for Speedway and started making them for Bill in 1964. Had 500 of them laying on the shop floor ready to weld tabs and brackets on. There were quick changes of all styles and types every where you looked. Some of the greatest old race car photos I have ever seen anywhere.
Would be great if one of the HAMB members from Wichita would do some history on this guy with photos and post it here for everyone to see.

Oh the lengths we go for coolness, and if anyone tells you that we don't chase this B!tch in the pursuit of some hint of coolness, they're lying!

Dennis I can relate to sanding louvers suck. I had 106 of them on the hood of my 39 Deluxe, they look super, but are a pain in the ass

Every one of my louvered hoods (and deck lids!) I sand louvers on I swear will be the last!
All quiet for a while now, haven't been any at that phase for a time.

Damned tub's gonna want some, and my '27 roadster...

Great job, Dennis! Really enjoyed the 'Bones style you went with, of course now we can see it was perfectly obvious.
By that, I mean: Take a look at the original body pic...the chop...Just the Right Thing To Do.
