Cool car. What are the headlights? Bike? You really have a Y-block fetish, eh? I woulda been on your case about B/gas on a car with no fenders;):D, but other than that, I like it!

I really like the drilled willys axle with the batwings welded on too, it looks slimmer and more graceful than a ford axle. I LOVE the Plymouth axle on the front of that T you PMed me, I want one of those. There was one of those on the front of Paul Scheifers T, which is one lakes era car that really knocks me out.

So...is this 'on the backburner' or 'current'?
    Or currently on the backburner.
Or backburned with some current, 220, 221, whatever it takes?

the front 1/2" is from the roof lights of a 69 fire truck I have. the rear portion is from a mid 30's GM car. VERY LARGE. I shortened a little and sectioned a lot down to 5.75" diameter. I robbed the park lamps from another set of lights. the sealed beams are French Cibie road race lights. I sold a Halibrand to a guy in Oregon building a re-creation of the # 25. hope he's doing as good as the guys doing the #43. some day I will tell the story behind why it is B/gas. VERY LONG story. I don't have the time to peck it out. maybe when I am unable to build cars any more.

man, that's a hell of a lot of work just for a pair of headlights!:D I am using re-pop forties Harley Davidson lights on the front of the coupester, they are smaller than King Bees or Arrows, and were used a ton in the late forties/early fifties.

I don't have a picture of the willys axle but you can see it here on the car. I like to use ford spindles. both willys and mopar have the same KP inclination as ford but axle has to be reamed from .750" to .812". willys axle needs 1/4" added to KP boss height. there is no pretier axle than the willys!!

I always draw a blueprint. this one was not very detailed and I don't have a picture of it on file. I have been building race cars since 1963. this car is sort of like a stretched midget. they would do that back then. lots of midgets around. cheaper than buying a sprint car. Example--my avatar car blueprint. could not find it on file. avatar car is almost done. PU is almost done. NUMBER 45-------SPRINT PARTS 012.jpg ebay 001.jpg

Ya, a lot of work and I built another set for a VERY CLOSE friend using 7" King Bees. then mounted the cookie cutter park lights proliferating the belly button street rodders these days. but the bullet shape really sets my lights apart. I have all the components to do a set for my 6 carb Cadillac rod, but SMALLER RARE park lamps like I have on my 32. Charlotte Goodguys 2013. about forty 32's entered in the "Deuce Doin's" V-8 60 EDELBROCK---GOODGUYS 001.jpg V-8 60 EDELBROCK---GOODGUYS 005.jpg Won 1st place.
