I have seen the pics of that amazing vehicle. Remember back in the day, Wendover was a little, little military town with almost no food stores and maybe one gas station and don't think they had a racing fuel pump. I believe it was Ab Jenkins that actually laid rail on the salt bed to get supplies for his attempts. Oh and the rare food wagons,,, another story.

Interesting blog, thanks..Man, lot of work to make both rears live; the drive [rear] pinion in the forward rear axle must have been crying from the load...Big time Gotta Wanna...Be cool if its still around, only 59 years ago
