momma told me not to repeat rumors. wish i would have listened better.

i thought i was giving history, but it turns out i was only giving bs.

    sorry.

(and we miss you, too. drop in some day when you're coming through)

and now back to your regularly scheduled Original first 500 HAMBers thread...

  3. Been off the board for awhile taking care of things and stumbled on this thread, #121 here, but I do remember the earlier version......you know, before it was cool.

  4. Can't find my number either and I am by no means a first 500. I signed up years ago and never really used it. But I am starting to with my builds going on and I gotta say I love the advice and banter that goes on here! Thanks guys for letting this poor lil hot rod girl in your world! Now what number am I? LOL!

All you need to do is cursor the members name and the number is in 'properties'.

I be # 40 but these numbers were from when the board was redone in 2001. I actually joined in 1997 and there were only about 40 of us total back then.

I think I was an original 100 but when I first signed on I was 1HOT39. I thought that sounded a little too 'street roddy' and was afraid Germ would pounce so I switched over to Otto....

oh I found it, #93 here

  17. Steve, just hover the cursor over your user name. You are number 93.

  18. That doesn't seem to work anymore at least not when I do it post count and join date is all I get.

  19. Not over your avatar, but your screen name just below it. In the lower left corner of the window a box will show up with your number at the end. Yours is 1613.

  20. Actually, it shows when you hover over your avatar as well. You just have to look down at the little box that shows up at the bottom left of the window you are in.

  21. Ok I see it I was looking in the wrong place for results. I knew I was well past 1500.

  22. Still a lot of us older members around. Some just don't post as much.

BobK is right, when a big change happened back in 2001, it reset a lot of the numbers. I think I first joined around 2000?

Wasn't there just a thread the other day about how many OG Hambers are not here any more? Here is 31 pages of em still hanging around, I would say that is pretty impressive for damn near 15 years.

  25. 174 after the re-org

  26. It makes me feel good to know all these "old timers" are still hanging around...............Maybe because there are so many posts in one day I just don't have time to read them all and I miss the posts by my old friends or I am getting old and slow.

Hey Skip, Glad to see you are around. My copy of your book is about wore out. I keep it in my roll around wiring cabinet. It still gets used but not as much as years ago.
