I grew up with manual shift, about 95 % of the cars here are stick shift.
My first automatic was my imperial ( push buton trans)
No more manual for me, Mabye at your side of the pond where stick shift is rare it might give something extra in a car when there are 3 pedals.

Go voice your opinions on a thread asking if t5s and 700r4s are traditional. This is not that thread.

I bought my first automatic car less than a year ago. Been driving manual trans for over 14 yrs. Its time to relax! :)

Thing is, no one will see the tranny on a lowered custom, heck...keep the hood down and run EFI lol..
I'm sure the OP will not be looking to the HAMB for non-HAMB friendly advice:)

You don't raise the hood on a custom anyway! ;)

Why should you not raise the hood on a custom, are there 4 cilinder rice burners hidden under there LOL

If I was building a car like that it would either have a automatic using the original shifter or a 3 speed with o/d also using the original column shifter,a floor shift would look out of place unless it was a 39 and older custom.
