Pushed it outside today. All bare metal is new..the cowl piece is seen. It's not welded yet, just sitting there

Steve, that hotrod is looking great! Looks like that fellow helping you wheel out the roof panel is doing a pretty good job also.

Steve...If you kept all the rotten panels (plus some of yours that you replaced) you can tack the old stuff together and sell it like you bought it: to another ambitious metal craftsman!
Kind of a 'recycle' of Pontiac 3 windows. We need all we can get...:D

Great work, BTW...makes my '27 T tub look like a walk in the park!

When you roll the beads in your panels, do you run the panel through an English wheel first? I find that when I'm working on a panel with the bead roller that the panel sometimes warps. I've been told that running the panel through a wheeling machine first can help with this.
Your panels look fantastic by the way!!

I should pre stretch but I don't. If I wasn't going to spot weld them a million times I would. For beads I put in with the Pullmax I don't pre stretch ever as the machine does it for me IMO. When I pre stretch for beads like these I prefer my CP hammer and a 1" radius die

Interesting. You mentioned a few times in this post that you built your Pull max. Am I lucky enough that there might be a build thread on it some place?? You certainly are a craftsman with the metal. Your work is outstanding. I thank you very much for sharing with us.

Since I have it in 3D, here's a view of what's left that's original. It is highlighted in red.
