Question - as a newbie with welding relatively speaking - how did you weld in that patch panel where you removed the port holes because, with that gap on the lower left, i would burn through...do you hold the gun at quite an angle to bridge over?

Honestly I can't Remember haha I probably just squeezed the trigger real quick numerous times without moving too fast which allows me to build up the weld . Or I could have held it at an angle going along with the cut and done it that way. .. Hope that helps a little

Not much of an update. A lot of life going on right now. But here's one , shaved the trim holes last night. Gotta pick up some sheet metal to weld up the wiper holes ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1450980356.355377.jpg

Sweet ride... I am about to get deep into my build. Its a 52 special that I am putting on a 94 Cadillac Fleetwood chassis. The wheel base is the same, the front track width is slightly wider than the buick but I should have some play room with it. Hoping to have it on the street by late April. The caddy donor was in great shape. 85K miles with LT1.

    Big fan of these Buicks.
