Gentlemen, This "thread" is for pictures and outline info of each of our HAMBsters, both racing and building (we currently list 37 cars, of the 45+ known). Please feel free to give the link to anyone interested in the classes. Please do NOT post here. We want to keep the thread concise. You may send submissions & updates to me by PM here, or e-mail me at [email protected]. I'll keep it updated and accurate as I can. Gentlemen, Please do NOT post here. If you have, or are building a HAMBster, or wish to update your info or picture, please PM me, or e-mail me directly at [email protected]. I'll copy your info & picture to the thread in the format we're using. In time we hope to have pictures of as many of our cars as you're willing to post, so that others will have a thread to reference when speaking of our classes. I think we may have something here, Gentlemen. __________________

Howdy All, It's my pleasure to update Bob Waldock's "Silver Bullet", and it's new Ford mill, Powerglide, & Holley quad. And to update his times & et's as well.
Well, Kiddies, it's been just shy of a decade since I started this thread. As a bit of a latecomer in '07, I've watched the HA/GR idea grow, live, fade to an extent, and give birth to successors. My own HAMBster's gone through some changes during the time as well, and for me it's been a decade of purely enjoying it. Some of the pics & info in this thread're now gone, most'er out of date, and the concept itself has pretty much had its run, at least here on the left coast. NHRA did have a small hand in that demise out here, but in reality the largest reason is that there simply wasn't the fervor needed for it to last in its original form. That concept is still reflected in a few small meets attended mostly by some of us old farts now, and even at those meets it's slowly becoming a smaller aspect of'em. 'Tis what 'tis. What say y'all to clearing & closing down this thread? Shall I?
Hey! Were not dead yet. Still plenty of racing hear in Okla SDRA type cars or what ever you want to call them. Heck Old 6 come east and join us, We will welcome you.
Not sure what to say on the thread... the HA/GR program never really gained speed here. We had a small flathead - inliners group that fizzled years ago when the guvermint closed up Speed World drag strip.
Leave the thread, it's a good source of history and some of us have "forever projects" that may eventually get here.
Gotta say when I built my car which is probably one of the newest builds around I did refer to this a bit for ideas. Yeah some of the pictures and info is missing or dated but still a good resource. Also anyone who asks about my build on their forums or when I’ve had the car out I always refer them here. Anyway that’s my 2c
Shutting the thread down is up to you Dick. I'm with the others regarding using it as a history tool. Imagine someone finding it in 20 years time. They'd say "Those silly fools knew how to have a good time".
