Damn Eric that's a lot of work putting that crap on. I heard that dynamat peels off roofs if you get a real hot spell. Do you get much hot weather there?

I didn't count the hours but I guess anywhere between 20 to 30 hours. The weather never gets real hot around here, rarely above 30 degrees (86 F) and then only for a few days. So I think it will remain stuck to the roof!

Eric, you are accomplishing one of the most significant projects this forum has ever witnessed, both fun and educational. Though being so near, any additional waiting is surely frustrating.
In Finland summer has been mostly wet and windy so far, hopefully we'll be enjoying warmer days in the coming weeks.

Well....the hood and grill should have been finished last month........the last 2 pieces of the puzzle before further work can continue. Going to have a good talk to the guys this week.

Before the guys start final work on the hood, I've decided to strengthen the area near the cowl and the front, where the pin/latch is situated. The new metal will be welded to the support brace once the correct radius is found. This way the hood won't shake and wobble around when driving 200 mph. :)

  28. good idea, Eric, i always wondered how this area of hood will behave while driving and close/open the hood, now i know, same on my ride. actually it lays down on the solid new rubber stripe mounted to the cowl, but each time you're opening the hood it starts wobbeling a bit. good thought and well done. btw, the cooler is overall flat black now and waits for decals and filling up.... :):D p.s.: please drop me a pm with your address....

I know, I know, it's taking a long longer than planned, but the hood is finally in place......still need to adjust it slightly for the gaps though. They're not perfect yet.
