  4. I like the flow and the potential lines you have started working on. Keep it up and showing pics. I see a nice tail dragger in the making.

I bet you Henry didn't give much for the 3 window coupe, but Edsel would be the one to talk too!

1931 all over again! He ordered a special 1931 Model A 3 window coupe, and that created tension, but let to the re-thinking of the Model A, morphing in to the Model B. And the work cast iron did make it turn to the one year only Deuce, that set the standard for years to come.

But other then that you are on the way to a give big things here! I will be following from the fare back corner of your great big shop.

The 3 window change/chop, stance/skirts, and that superb '38 Std. grille all flow like an Edsel Ford Original!

I disagree completely with junkman8888, and agree fully with Gotgas. Admittedly it was my '36 that Gotgas posted.
Seriously, I think you got the window shape just right on your cut-up door; I think you should use the sedan doors with exactly the same window shape. Great looking car in its mocked-up form; I've always liked the '38 Standard front end, even though they don't get much love.

Man, you have some mad skills and an eye for style. I'm looking forward to seeing this one finished. I love the standard front sheet metal and your plans for a 3-window are just too cool. Love your Caddy too. Keep us all posted on your progress.

You might be on a winner there and nail the look, once those sails panels are done it should flow nicely with the right amount of crown and taper. Everything in proportion will clinch the deal.

Sorta felt inspired today after all the compliments about the 38 from you guys, I went ahead and spent some alone time with her on my smoke breaks at the shop today.. And as for the discussion about window surrounds and belt lines it's gonna be one of those things were I look at it more than work on it, when the chop is perfect and everything looks as it should I'll know it.. I didn't make the rules they've been around long before me.

From the thread title I was afraid we were in for one of those Minotti abortions, only in steel. But you, sir have aced it...in spades. Bravo.
