I've Always known that one day I would own and build a 57' pink Cadillac, the only problem I had was finding one before I died and being able to obtain it with my non-existing budget.. Well that happened early last year and I pulled this old gal out of a 40 sum year nap in a field north of Seattle.. No drive train and super incomplete I was able to pull it out make it mine for not much more than a little song and dance. I'll probably take some shit for this not being traditional and some probably think I destroyed the entire car, but I knew what I wanted out of the the car before I even got it and I built exactly what I wanted.. keeping a roof over my head and food in my tummy was priority so spending money I didn't have wasn't an option.. What I didn't build I unearthed myself or built from scratch.. And the end result is a hammered bullet proof freeway flyer that's most comfortable at 75mph 3" off the rockers that's affordable to maintain with parts that are easy to find.. Full frame starting with a 78 CDV front clip eliminating the stock x-frame, bagged, channeled, 4 wheel discs, late model 472, and building every panel on the car from scratch that was original Mt. Laurel pink.
Wow, you're busy - two build threads starting at the same time - both bitchin' cars. Keep posting updates please. Cheers.
I shiver to think, how little space you had, to retreat ankle deep from that buried junkyard Cadillac confine .... snakes man !!!! Medal on your chest the size of a fryin' pan for extracting whatever part you needed there. (Hope you had a big knife/.357/something in your teeth.) Bitchin' Cad' !
Haha!! Ya, but it's not a Cadillac without those bells and whistles, crawled through the engine compartment, cut a hole in the firewall and was able to get all the dash and door chrome, wasn't even a doubt in my mind that the juice was worth the squeeze.
