interesting photo, Taken 95 years ago, I'm sure no one in the photo is alive today, except maybe the car, which at the time of the photo would have only been a few years old, yet looks like what you would find in a survivor car today.

This is in a segment for which the audio is there but the film was lost. It explains why beach bum Sylvester was driving a new Dodge - it was his girlfriend's husband's car...

Kathy Kohner, the real life Gidget, Malibu '57. She was given the nickname by another Malibu legend, Terry "Tubesteak" Tracy, because she was a small girl, like a midget...Gidget. Tracy by coincidence lived down the street from me when I was a kid in Lakewood, Ca in the '60s maybe into the early 70s.

 

The teacher riding shotgun looks like he's about to make a quick exit.

 

Yeah, the back up lights are on and the driver's headed for a post!

 

Remembering our first drivers ed new car, a 1948 Chev. 4 door sedan, dual foot controls, & our instructor was fresh out of the USMC from WWII.
NOBODY ever gave him any lip!!!!!!!!!!
