    The Frazier Peele Ferry coming into Ocracoke, North Carolina from Hatteras Village along North Carolina's Outer Banks. The truck in the picture is bringing the mail. When things got too rough for the ferry the cars and trucks were pushed off the ferry and they had to drive through the waterl

    Mast General Store in Valle Crucis, NC (Near Boone) This store was established in 1883 and still is active today.

    interesting photo, Taken 95 years ago, I'm sure no one in the photo is alive today, except maybe the car, which at the time of the photo would have only been a few years old, yet looks like what you would find in a survivor car today.

    This is in a segment for which the audio is there but the film was lost. It explains why beach bum Sylvester was driving a new Dodge - it was his girlfriend's husband's car... :eek:

    From the 1963 movie Palm Springs Weekend - Robert Conrad doing his James Dean impersonation in a T-bird that was overdubbed with engine sounds from something like a Ferrari.

    Kathy Kohner, the real life Gidget, Malibu '57. She was given the nickname by another Malibu legend, Terry "Tubesteak" Tracy, because she was a small girl, like a midget...Gidget. Tracy by coincidence lived down the street from me when I was a kid in Lakewood, Ca in the '60s maybe into the early 70s.

    Remembering our first drivers ed new car, a 1948 Chev. 4 door sedan, dual foot controls, & our instructor was fresh out of the USMC from WWII.
    NOBODY ever gave him any lip!!!!!!!!!!
