For those who don't know, this is a huge annual car show in Minnesota; we were close to 12,000 cars this year (all '64 and older). While some of the attending cars may not fit the HAMB definition of traditional hot rod, it is a terrific time. Plan for more than one day, if you can.The link has all the shots I grabbed, but a few teasers are below. http://pistnbroke.smugmug.com/2015-Back-to-the-50s
Was a good time for sure thanks for posting pics. There are some I didn't see which is not surprising with 12,000 cars. Did my best cruising the grounds though thats the best way to see the cars.
I promise, I'm not trying to be a wise guy, but why do they call it Back to the 50's if the cars go up to '64? Wouldn't it be more appropriate to call it Back to the 60's?
The cut off for car year used to be 1959. They changed it to 1964 a while back. It was the 42nd year this year. One of the largest shows in the country you will ever see!
This is a really cool shot of the front end of my Merc. Thanks for sharing. Build Thread: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/1962-mercury-monterey-custom-wagon.959751/
The wife and I had a lot of fun with it over the weekend. We ended up putting nearly 1100 miles on it in 4 days, with absolutely no problems what so ever (other then it really likes gas).
11,955 total registered this year....weather was great except for a quick thunder shower early Saturday morning!!!
Wow...looks like a great show..I wish 3M would send me up for a meeting sometime during that weekend...love the 61 Sunliner pic
