Finally got tired of staring at it under a tarp outside. So far just tearing it down to the frame. Getting rid of all excess metal I'm not interested in keeping. Fun Stuff!!

you will get a wamrer welcome if you postan intro. $500 is a steal for a '33, if it is even 1/4 there. I paid $500 for my complete '35 in '77. What part of houston are you in? I'm just west of the heights. mark

    Man you guys are quick!!!

I was just trying to get the pictures small enough to post... sheesh!!! :)

This is my first really old car. I have a collection of other stuff/projects ranging from a 1970 Cutlass Supreme convert, 3 Older 3 series BMWs, and a 1968 BSA 650 bobber. I have some running vehicles as well!! ha ha.

In Houston, TX.... Engineer working on ARMY trucks for a living, so pretty much a mechanical nut....

Already have the 4" drop axle for the front, found the proper radiator for it..... basically I've been piling up parts and hunting around for material so I can keep it going once it's torn down. I just bought my house in june of 04 so I've had to stock up the garage a bit!! Not the worst problem in the world, but it gets spensive....

Thinking low, keep the flathead, steel wheels.... bout 3-4" off the top.... who knows. First at hand is frame patch and repair. Want to start with a good foundation.

Bought it from a guy at work who wasn't interested anymore. I don't think he had done anything to it since he got it.

I think it is an old hot rod attempt. Already had the split wishbones up front, 50's chevy axle,..... later model flathead I think the 8BA model? The distributor is not off the front of the cam...it's stabbed in from the side.

Kinda all there if you know what I mean. Will still require some "reworking" aka hacking, welding, grinding, etc... I think most of the welding was done with a stick welder, poorly... lots of massive boogers to hold things together.

Patching the frame up slowly but shurely... Trying to keep it pretty bare bones as far as budget goes.

Next in line is more rust repair and patching....

Just found this thread when doing a search for something else.

But I thought that I would mention - i didn't see it mentioned before, but I'm pretty sure that that is a '34 cab and not a '33 - as it has the "kick-out" Firewall and it has the 3rd body line across the back of the cab.

    Just and FYI

but great truck and awesome deal -

the comments about the doors are true - I know someone who gave $600 to have 1 door shipped cross country & it still need work!:(  (and no it wasn't me)

I wasn't positive it was a 33 but I based it on the frame..... the guy I bought it from said it was a 32.

How can you tell the difference between 32,33,34 cabs? I thought they were the same cabs for all three years??
