Here is a bit of a up date on the coupe first the tail shaft loop it took along time to make and I wasn't shaw if it would look any good so I kept on walking away from it . And then I started on the floor and subrails Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
All right Thommoina just go you some updates here we go it has changed a lot since my last update I found some very ordinary repaid on both quarters and both cowls so I cut all that out
Braced the body and started to remove the roof incert that was screwed over and leaded in It looked like brand new as you can see
You are a slave driver Thommo So next it was of to the sand batters home and primed and at this point I am very happy found on more surprises now it's time to start putting it together stressful
I made the last part of the floor I had to raise it to clear the nine inch I got the rust repair panels and of course they weren't long enough so I made them longer I put a new back panel in
Next I repaired the wheel wells on both quarters firewall next make it look like it should even if it has a cut out
That is a cool car. I love the fact that the roof hole is near perfect. Would you mind posting a few pictures of how you braced the body? I'm at that point, need to replace a poorly installed "Bitchin" floor and expect to find some hideous repairs along the way. Thanks
Here are some pics of the bracing I used the pics aren't the best as I was not real proud of the bracing but it seemed to work the front bars went to a bar that ran across the body just under where the dash would be the engine lifter I used so I could lift it by my self and adjust it to get the balance right hope this helped as I don't have any more pics as the bracing has long gone if I can help any more just sing out good luck airborne 34 could you put up a pic of your coupe
Very nice bracing job. Like the spreader idea. Mine will be with the doors on so, I'll fab a combination of this design. Thanks!!
Time to change from dicky seat to boot lid or as you guys call it a trunk lid now doors I had some door skins rolled up from the swage line down so I attacked the doors
Spent a bit of time on the doors repairing the frame I took the bottom repair panel of and redid it put the doors back on and wow they fit a little better but still a long way to go I have all ways wanted a set of Real rodders wheel but to get a set here in Aus was way to dear so when I saw his set for sale here I had to have them
