Don't know what happened to this thread but while going through my collection of EDN I came across the York Div. 1 meet and I was there as a spectator my car there as a competitor and it won class, but then I seen this picture, it is listed as an AA/MSP car and has Oldsmobile across the grille and the owner from Ohio. In the results Joe Lunati won in A/MSP and Street Elim. They are two different cars and both at York at the same race. This was July 11 1964 I believe the car in question is the Olds powered AA/MSP car, it was supercharged and not Lunatis Chevy powered A/MSP Devin.

When the faithful contribute to these post thats a good thing. When they are left to wither and die thats a bad thing. We can't go out and take pictures of this car or interview the person that found it so?

Just found this thread. Chances are that Devin ran side by side with Don Noyes in The U.S.Mule II at some time. The Mule ran a blown 392 HEMI, won AA/MSP at INDY in 1965. Sold it back in 2007, often wonder how the rebuild is going. It ended its racing days as you see it in this photo with a 350 SBC. Bob

Don's son Eric holds a couple of records for small displacement streamlined motorcycles. About 175mph for 125 cc as I recall.

OK, so this thread hasn't been "up" for a while : "BUMP"!!!

  16. This thread sucks. :(
Would be nice to hear what the OP did with the car, and I hope he's still upright. Guess there could be a truckload of good reasons why he hasent followed through with it, but it sure makes for a disappointing read.

I was at a shop back about 20 years ago with they were just removing a body from a mold and it was a Devin and when I asked about the car they told me that they had purchased the molds years ago.
This restoration shop only does really high end work and everything I ever saw come out of there shop was perfect in every way.

    hello,
we had a friend that built either a devin sports car with a sbc in it. but some where back in my mind, this black primer sports car came to mind, too. the crs syndrome can't tell which one he built.
we were involved with our 40 willys, but this guy stood out with his strange creation. sorry for mis identifying which car was his.
    thanks,
    jnaki

The black primer sports car has a modified Mistral body, not a Devin.

I drove this one at Orange County drag strip before it closed. Those 16" rear mags were mine at one time if they are the same ones. It had a single quad (950 3 barrel) 409 and 400 turbo and was built on a shortened 56 Chev 4dr chassis. I think the steering MG RP. It was originally a pee-green. A super consistent car.
