Hot Rods vintage mallory numbers

    can anyone tell me what a vintage mallory distributor model R type 13BD is? i'm hoping it's for a flathead cadillac ,i've got edmunds heads ,so this will be a nice addition. thanks alot. TOM

    I have a very old Mallory large, fat , hardcover manual or book. I never looked at the date, so it might be too old or maybe has no ID info. I'd bet it is too old, if yours looks like 1950s or later...

    It is buried in some stuff that belongs to an estate...I will try to locate it

    I found the manual but it is a troubleshooting book, no numbers or applications....dated 1934.

    interesting that one pic looked a lot like the ones used in the modern days.
     

  5. Unfortunately, no help here either. My reference numbers start with distributors for engines built in 49 on up.
