I really appreciate it, and is would like that very much, but I think you answered a different question

 

Today got Model A out for the first time this year. Over the winter I rebuilt the steering gear (41 Ford), went through the carbs, had the intake and the headers ceramic chromed, changed out the fuel lines to banjo fittings & lines from Charlie Price, Vintage Speed. Got new ribbed aluminum valve covers w/ Buick script (made in America), new ribbed aluminum valley cover pan. 100 miles today was great.

 

Lookin good. I've been following along for all the nailhead tips.
Post a video sometime, so we can hear those lake pipes.

I worked on my rod too.
I drove to Deleware to buy 4 artiliary wheels.
But I didn't get the adapters yet.
They are enrout.

Great truck, I like everything about it.
What's the room situation like in it, knees and such?

 

I've got maybe 3" of head room, not any more than that, leg room is minimal, I'll have a new seat cushion made this summer, that will raise the front edge of the cushion up by 2",. I'm 5' 9" and 175 lbs. This is not an uncomfortable ride for me but after a couple of hours, you're ready to get out and stretch.

 

love your attention to details, this is my kind of hotrod! makes me miss my RPU.

also like the new valve covers a lot.

My current engine, 54 Buick Roadmaster, 322, the day I brought it home, 2013. It was laying in the dirt, in a barn in Cannon Falls, MN and was not stuck, how lucky was that.

 

I like this chassis did you build it?

 

What a fantastic truck! Nice job!

 

I bought this car because of the chassis, it was well thought out and the welding looked very good, the rest of the car just need to be completely rebuild with all new parts. 1,400 hrs. later, I'm having more fun than I deserve.

 

Today, coming home from Mankato, MN. just beat the storm, not having a hood sure makes the trip exciting, I was flying.

Cant beat a 322 nailhead powered car!

 

Very inspiring build! Really like the overhead control arm on rear axle, removable center crossmember, and use of the '41 Ford steering.
(how did that adjust up after rebuild? Done a lot of 'em in 50 years on the job!)
The new script valve covers are interesting: the Rivieras had those, but not as many fins? Just on top, as I recall.
Your special rear seal from your purveyor of race parts echoed the one I got from the California Pontiac guru. Nephew's 421 Super Duty I majored had a rope seal...the Pontiac gent said he'd send me his special one along with rod & main brgs, and a slew of other parts. Didn't leak a drop. BONANZA!

Charlie Price sure batted a thousand on the banjo fittings! Those and the velocity stacks give it that 'Weber Look'... Very sanitary!

Overall, a well thought out and executed project. It is "Just Right!"

 

I've got over 3,000 miles thus far on this engine, I just love it!!

 

Had a gremlin in the engine recently, found a carb float half full of fuel, ran just great today, Back to the 50's next week, really looking forward to it, last year they had 15,000 cars registered!!

 

Had a great time at Back to the 50's, MN State Fairgrounds, fun time, so much to see, biggest car show I've ever been to, recommended!!
